Welcome to The NPPA
"Fun in The Summer Sun"
About Us
In the late 1980's and early 1990 the local county fairs would have an open pickup pull for the local people from the surrounding towns. This was a once a year event and the drivers would spend a lot of time preparing their trucks for it. You could drive your truck to the pull, weigh in for the two different weight classes, pull, and then drive your truck home if it didn't break while you were hooked to the sled.
In 1992 it was suggested that we form an association of pickup pullers. We contacted as many drivers as we could and held a meeting to see if we had enough interest. It is from these events that "The Nebraska Power Pullers Association" was developed. And it is from these loyal members that the association has prospered through the years. We are always ready to welcome new pullers and try to encourage new membership.
